5 ways to create a happy home in 2021

Updated: 5 days ago

In this post, we are sharing with you some tips on how you can get your home ready to receive the New Year in a very special way...just like a very special guest. This process can take a few weeks, but I can guarantee it’s worth it.

Make space for the good things - Decluttering is crucial in this process! You need to make space for the new things that will enter your home and life. Donate, sell, or exchange all the things that don't make sense in your life anymore.

Clean like never before - After a thorough decluttering, it's time for deep cleaning. Starting from the top-down, clean the fans, blinds, on top of cupboards, fridge...the best way is to go room by room. It can take a day or more, but it's worth it!

Fix what's broken - Now that you know exactly what you are keeping and everything is clean, it's time to repair all the things that need to be fixed. Panhandles that need tightening up, light bulbs that have long burned out, clothes which need to be sewed...

Shift things around - Shifting furniture and decorations around is a good way of giving a room a new look without spending money or cluttering the space. This is the time to start fresh. Switch shelves around, change the bed cover, rearrange nightstands etc.

Add your touch - Now is the time for some DIY, new plants and flowers, and really just making the space yours. If you don't like the color of some furniture, consider painting it. Plants will help purify the air in your space and flowers will add that touch of color and delicacy.

Now, enjoy your cozy and happy home! 💜
