Improve your morning routine

I don't know about the dynamic of your household in the morning, but at our home, mornings are busy, and that's why is important to have a defined routine.
So, with this simple list, you will be able to get some ideas and start implementing some self-care into your routine as well.
1. Get up as soon as the alarm goes off!
One of the biggest mistakes people make is hitting the snooze button several times or even worse, staying in bed on their phones after the alarm went off. You think you are gaining time in bed but you are actually not resting, because you know you need to get up, so you're not really relaxing either. Get up as soon as the alarm goes off and start your day!
2. Drink a glass of water
Drinking a glass of water as soon as you wake up helps the body rehydrate, and that contributes to better digestion when you have your first meal of the day. It also helps with moving the lower bowels for regularity in the mornings...great, right?!
3. Make a cup of tea or coffee
You can turn your habit of drinking coffee or tea into a morning self-care ritual. Take time preparing your drink, choose the best ingredients, try new recipes and really savor each sip.
4. Sit silently for a few minutes
This can be a hard one if you have kids, but if you can adjust your routine to wake up 10 minutes before everybody else and stay off your phone, you will experience a sense of calm and relaxation that is really important for your mental health.
5. Write down 3 things you want to achieve today
Now that you are relaxed and your mind is clear, set priorities for your day and write down the things that you want to accomplish. They don't need to be complex or life-changing, just something that you've been putting off for a while, and today you'll get to it.
6. Make your bed
Your bed is one of the biggest pieces of furniture in your bedroom, so when you make your bed in the morning, your room looks a lot tidier. Also, making the bed is a task and when you finish a task early in the morning, you will feel this sense of accomplishment which motivates you to get more things done!
